SSV Oliver Hazard Perry is the first full-rigged ocean-going ship to be built in the United States in over 100 years. She will run programs for student of all ages during year round operation initially along the east coast. Our programs include 1-2 week voyages in partnership with academic institutions, as well as teen summer camps and adult voyages. Her traditional rig reaches 130ft high with a total of 19 spars, seven miles of rope and wire and 20 sails that total 14,000 square feet. This contrasts her modern below deck features, including an environmental science lab, state-of-the art classroom technology, wheelchair accessibility, and climate-controlled living and learning spaces.
